My Educational Philosophy

Creativity and curiosity should be encouraged so that students continue to expand their knowledge, both inside and outside the classroom. Students should have easy access to education in a safe and positive environment. Teamwork as well as individuality should be promoted so that students develop respect for themselves and others as well as realize the value of equality. Use of technology should enhance not hinder a student’s learning, and therefore should be used appropriately. A teacher should act as a guide and not a GPS: directing students where to look, but not telling them what it is they are supposed to find.
